My favorite Forster book is "Where Angels Fear to Tread." That book can still make me laugh outloud, unusual for Edwardian fiction!

That's good to hear, as that book is actually on my to-read pile (along with A Passage to India and a re-read of A Room with a View). At the slow rate I read, it might be a very long time before I get to enjoy it, but knowing there is humor waiting an incentive to pick up the pace.
Well I definitely would recommend getting to "Angels" before "India." "India" is a good book but looooooong and dull at times.

Ah, but I love the film of A Passage to India so much, and have had it on my mind recently. First, though I have to get through Jonathan Carroll's From the Teeth of Angels, which will easily take another week, at which point I might just have to read another Carroll book. Too many books, so little time! And they are all competing over the next three weeks with a big film festival.
