Love:
I took yesterday off and went house decoration shopping with my husband and son. We had such a good time buying for our living room. It is starting to really take shape. Warm and homey.
Printing out some digital pictures finally to bring into work. They look wonderful on my cube wall.
Reconnecting with my husband the past few weeks. It is good to laugh together again.
A good start to our Christmas shopping with ideas of what to do for everyone this year. It sure takes a lot of the pressure and stress out of this month already.
Loathe:
Feeling cold and stuffed up.
One of our home computers slowly dying.
My relationship with my family.

Thumbs Down:
- We're not in our new house yet nor has our other house sold. Sigh.
- Our main computer crashed. Ray has everything working except Outlook. It wants a key-product code and we have no idea where it might be. I have about 200 email addresses and my calendar on there so feel like I've lost a limb.
- We're missing Cody's wrestling tournament today. It wasn't on the original schedule so we found out late and it's just not working out. I hate missing the kids' stuff.
Thumbs Up:
- The carpet for the main floor is scheduled to be installed on Monday.
- Booked our annual ski trip for after Christmas.
- Had a really nice Thanksgiving.

That I miss him and I can't tell him.
Rain.
Love:
- Art & Tea (aka: Alice in Paris), upon hearing that I had not rec'd a package in the "15 Things Swap" took it upon herself to put together a package (after already having assembled & sent the one she was assigned to), so that I would not be left out of the exchange. Not only was this extremely generous spiritually but also financially - shipping alone was $20!!
- Pics of the "15 Things" to follow - my web enabled phone is MIA at the moment so I had to take them with the old phone
- Said package arrived at a perfect time as a lot of events and experiences had combined so that my mental status was (is?) 90% negative and I had recently decided NOT to give to charities this holiday season. Not a penny!! Her act of kindness restored my faith in (some of) humanity enough so that, today, I donated Tday dinners for 6 local families.... that's 24 people getting a free meal thanks to her.
- Some of the items she sent were just perfect for me (I've been planning to buy a new, heat-resistant spatula - but she sent one!). One made me laugh cause it was so off base (a kitchen scrubbie... we all know I don't clean!! lol (I'm sure the housekeepers will put it to good use.))
I totally lost track of time. Today I had to ask what day it was.
LOVES IT!

6. No Christmas Tree - as decreed by the man of the house there will be no tree this year; our place is too small, says he.
7. Bah.
8. Humbug.
Today I am thankful for:
a very enjoyable 11 oops make that 9 days with M-----l, which included one of the highest lights of my concert-going experiences (The Swell Season)
[and hey wow, the NPR Tiny Desk Concerts on YouTube (and by the way the Avett brother playing guitar in front could be M-----l's twin)]
friends
(and Vox for the friend-making structure)
leftover chili and cookies with sprinkles
my job
a warm home
the ability to work at home
snuggly cats
this past week-and-a-half's musical acquistions (and assorted fun thingees)
the quick healing of the road rash (a.k.a. sidewalk scrape)
Yay:
